Downloading map updates from Naviextras.com
Once you have connected your device to Naviextras Toolbox and logged in to your account, you can download map updates. Naviextras offers a latest map guarantee meaning that you can download the latest maps once for free. Within 45 days after the first use of your Pioneer Navigation System and a newer map update is available, you are entitled to install it for free. To do this, follow the steps below:
- AVIC F-Series Firmware Update Download INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING FIRMWARE UPDATES FOR AVIC-F900BT/ AVIC-F90BT/ AVIC-F700BT / AVIC-F7010BT.After you download the firmware update files onto your computer, you will need to transfer the files to an SD card (512MB or larger) in order to install them on your navigation system.
- The update is for AVIC-F900BT and AVIC-F700BT with the original map data as for units which have been updated with CNSD-100FM. If you have any difficulty carrying out these instructions, please first refer to the Firmware Update FAQ included in this document and/or contact Pioneer Customer Support Center.
- Today i have installed the F900BT. For now it is working fine. The radio response quickly and the startup-time is okay! As far as i can see i have map version: 02.000600 and firmware 3.020200 Because the F900BT is working fine for me and therefore (in my opinion) no firmware update is necessary i only want to update the navigation software.
- Download the firmware ZIP file named ' AVICF700BTF900BTVER2009000.zip ' from the website to a folder on your computer. Create the firmware update SD Card.
- Click on the left side of the Naviextras Toolbox window. You can see the new packages available to install.
- Click Install.
- After the installation, the system displays that the operation was completed successfully. Click OK. Now your device is up-to-date.
The right AVIC-F900BT driver can be difficult to locate on the manufacturer's website. Even if you are experienced at finding, downloading, and manually updating AVIC-F900BT drivers, the process can still be very time consuming and extremely irritating.
